This photo was taken on a walk with my mom. I just moved into a new neighborhood last summer which was hard because my old house was really close to my best friend’s house. Once and a while I’ll go on walks with my mom to explore the new neighborhood, and now I will often bring my camera. I love taking pictures of the cure rows of houses around the neighborhood. I thought this group was especially pretty and stuck out from all the others because of the interesting variety of colors and exteriors the houses have.

This photo was taken at Wildwood Ranch this past weekend. I was there on a retreat with my youth group so this image is especially memorable of all the fun times we had. I took this picture during some reflection time we had on Saturday. It was really nice to relax over the weekend and escape the business of everyday life. I loved the colorful leaves that were everywhere around us and I wanted to incorporate them into my architecture pictures. The pop of color from the leaves is my favorite thing about this image and helps to make the plain wooden stairs interesting.

This image was also taken at Wildwood Ranch during my youth group retreat this weekend. I was just walking around during reflection time and the colorful leaves and the concrete staircase around the cabin just stuck out to me. I think that this photo contains a nice variety of architecture from the edge of the cabin with the porch and the staircase winding through the peaceful atmosphere. This photo is memorable for me because, during the quiet time we were supposed to create something in nature out of things that stuck out to us but instead of making something physical, I decided to just take pictures of things that stuck out to me and part of that was the cabins which are so integral to the peaceful camp atmosphere.
